Yash Jobanputra, MD, is an interventional cardiologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. He utilizes minimally invasive techniques to improve heart health and is experienced in a wide range of advanced cardiac procedures, including coronary interventions, angioplasty, and stent placement. Dr. Jobanputra earned his medical degree from Government Medical College in India. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at the University of Miami/JFK Medical Center Palm Beach Regional GME Consortium, followed by a cardiology fellowship at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York.

Dr. Jobanputra is certified in nuclear cardiology, adult echocardiography, and level two cardiac CT. His interests include complex coronary procedures, use of rotational atherectomy, mechanical support devices and peripheral endovascular procedures. Working at MUSC Health-Orangeburg aligns with Dr. Jobanputra’s mission of serving the people of South Carolina. His goal is to deliver excellent clinical care to the community and achieve superior procedural outcomes. Having published over 30 peer reviewed articles in esteemed cardiovascular journals, he is committed to advancing research in the field and holds editorial positions in several academic journals.
